sole legal custody
“‘Sole legal custody’ means that one parent shall have the right and the responsibility to make the decisions relating to the health, education, and welfare of a child” according to California Family Code 3006.
How is this determined? Can I improve my chances of being the sole custodial parent? Do I have absolutely no say if I am not the sole custodial parent? Will these circumstances ever change?
(Throw in an example of when sole custody changed for a couple…etc.)
Did you know that the court can grant sole custody and decision making in some areas while granting joint legal custody in other areas?
